Fillers contain hyaluronic acid
Fillers containing hyaluronic acid are one of the most common types of fillers and are very popular. This type of filler has been used for over 20 years. Hyaluronic acid can bind a thousand times its own weight in water and is naturally present in the body, but decreases with age. This can make the skin looser and less elastic, and makes wrinkles more likely to appear.

Can I be allergic to what fillers contain?
It is very rare to be allergic to the contents of fillers. Usually there are no side effects, but sometimes there may be some redness, swelling or slight bruising in the area where the injection was performed. In principle, anyone can use fillers. However, pregnant women and women who are breastfeeding should not undergo injection treatments with fillers.

Some fillers contain Lidocaine, which is a type of local anaesthetic. If you are allergic to Lidocaine, you should of course not use fillers containing this substance. When you book a consultation with us, we go through this and check with you.
