What is medical skin care?
Medical skin care is a term used for skincare and treatments that differ from other more traditional ones in terms of effectiveness and ingredient list. We have 25 years of experience using Dr Obagi's Zo Skin Health concept.
Medical skin care is not the same as facial treatments provided by dermatologists. When we talk about medical skincare, we usually refer to skincare products that contain ingredients that are scientifically proven to be effective. This can be:
- AHA acids
- retinol
- Vitamins
- Antioxidants
The concept of medical skin care has been questioned recently, as many practitioners use the term carelessly and refer to treatments that are not medically based at all. Therefore, it is sometimes referred to as advanced skin care, which is also telling and effective. Medical skin care at Conturkliniken is always preceded by a thorough consultation with a specialist nurse. The treatment is also monitored to ensure optimal results.

Undergoing a medical skin care programme
Undergoing a skincare programme is different from the experience of a non-medical facial. If you want a real effect, it is medical skincare that you are looking for.
At Conturkliniken® we offer several treatment options for those who wish to improve their facial skin. In addition to our skin care programme ZO Skin Health we offer for example:
- IPL treatment
- Chemical peel
- Laser peel
Each of the treatment options is good for different types of problems. We always start with a consultation with you, so if you don't already know which treatment you are interested in, but perhaps just what problems you want to overcome, we will work together to find the best option for you.
