Can acidic mouths be treated with fillers?
- Consultation & planning You will meet with a doctor and/or nurse to ask any questions, address any concerns and clarify your expectations.
- Preparations You will receive specific instructions on what to eat and drink, rules on smoking, use of vitamins, medications and other preparations. The day before the surgery, we will have a phone call for a final briefing.
- The procedure itself Oral angioplasty takes about 1 hour and is performed under general anaesthesia combined with local anaesthesia or local anaesthesia alone.
- The time after On each side of the mouth you have a small incision with a small suture (stitch). After a week this is removed, there may be some redness which can be made up.
An oral angioplasty is a surgical procedure with very little risk.
After surgery, there may be swelling that subsides within a few days and bruising that disappears after a week.

A simple surgical procedure can be used to lift downturned muzzles. A small wedge-shaped strip of skin is cut away above the outer edge of the roof of the mouth and then the outer edge of the roof of the mouth is lifted and stitched to the overlying tissue to create a new upward angle of the roof of the mouth.

Of course, you can also choose to take one thing at a time. For example, many patients start with non-surgical treatments such as filler injections (Restylane or Juvederm) and Botox, and then are so satisfied with the end result that they choose not to proceed.
